HOW SHOULD I STYLE MY HOME FOR THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Wonderful, thank you so much for asking!! This shows me that you really care about the end result.... which is beautiful photographs ready to market your property.
I would really love to photograph a tidy + clean home.
Minimal 'things' in and around you home..... de-clutter!
remove those things that we all get used to in our every day lives... tea towels, pet beds, bowls, kiddies toys, fridge magnets, tissue boxes, washing and pegs on the line, toothbrushes, shampoos in the showers, cleaning products, phone chargers, pots and pans, spices, knife blocks, chopping boards, outdoor play equipment, hoses.....
Things to add or leave.... fresh flowers, cook books, nice cushions, beautiful bed linen, pretty lamps, rugs, art work, key furniture items, pot plants....... you could even set up your outdoor tables with table settings or water jugs with glasses either side if you like!
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS OVERCAST AND RAINING?
If its overcast, you will see me doing a happy dance! Its perfect lighting for photographing houses! The clouds act like a giant soft box so we dont have to worry about harsh shadows or bright sunlight! (dont worry, I will add a pretty blue sky in post processing!)
In some rainy situations I will still shoot under an umbrella, Ill add blue sky and all is good... but if its really coming down we will most likely play it by ear!
DOES THE AGENT NEED TO BE AT THE SHOOT?
Yes, please. There are a number of reasons I prefer to shoot with an agent on site... safety being one of them.
HOW LONG DOES A SHOOT TAKE?
It really depends on the size of the property and what condition its in.... if its styled ready to shoot or do we need to move things around to get better end images?
I normally allow up to 1 hour on site.
WHEN WILL I GET MY EDITED IMAGES?
Normally you should allow 24 hrs to receive your digital files. If you have a deadline, please make sure you book me well in advance.
WHAT DO YOU EDIT?
I will add pretty blue skies to all your images.
all your windows will be blended, meaning you will be able to see the outside perfectly... (unless, i'm shooting lifestyle real estate images where windows are normally lightened and you are not able to see the exteriors)
All rooms are blended with different exposures, meaning you will have a perfectly exposed / lit room.
All lines | interior walls will be straightened,
some grass patches will be greened or touched up (but not unrealistically)
WHAT WONT YOU EDIT?
I will not change wall colours, add furniture, remove furniture or fixtures,.. or any other unreasonable | unrealistic request. We want to show your home in its best original light.
WHAT IF YOU TURN UP AND THE HOUSE ISN’T READY TO PHOTOGRAPH or I'VE FORGOT ABOUT OUR APPOINTMENT?
You will be invoiced for a late notice cancelation and we will reschedule your appointment.
HOW LONG TO I HAVE TOO BOOK YOU IN ADVANCE?
I am booked up normally a week or more in advance for real estate jobs.... so please make sure you email me as soon as you know you need your home photographed!
